Refund Policy for Root & Relic Apothecary

At Root & Relic Apothecary, customer satisfaction is important to us. We aim to ensure your experience with our products and services is positive. Please review our refund and return policy carefully.


1. Return Eligibility

  • Returns are accepted within 7 days of receiving your order.
  • Items must be in the same condition as when received: unused, unworn, with tags, and in their original packaging.
  • Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) is required.

Important Notes:

  • Returns based on "change of mind" are not accepted.
  • A 25% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund for all accepted returns.

2. How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please email us at rootrelicapothecary@gmail.com. Include the following in your request:

  • Order number or proof of purchase.
  • A brief description of the reason for the return.

If your return is approved, we will provide:

  • A return shipping label.
  • Detailed instructions on where and how to send your package.

Note: Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted.


3. Damages and Issues

At Root & Relic Apothecary, we are committed to providing high-quality products and exceptional service. If your order arrives damaged, we are happy to offer a resolution.

Reporting Damage

To qualify for a refund, replacement item, or store credit, you must:

Resolution Options

Once we’ve verified the damage, you may choose one of the following:

  • Full Refund – Issued to your original payment method.
  • Replacement Item – A new item will be shipped to you at no additional cost.
  • Store Credit – You will receive an e-gift card for the value of the item to place a new order.

Please Note: After 24 hours, we cannot guarantee eligibility for refunds, replacements, or credits.

If your item arrives defective, damaged, or incorrect:

  • Contact us immediately at rootrelicapothecary@gmail.com.
  • Provide photos of the damaged or incorrect item(s) for evaluation.
  • We will resolve the issue promptly by offering a replacement, refund, or store credit based on the situation.

4. Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Perishable goods (e.g., food, plants).
  • Custom or personalized items.
  • Personal care products (e.g., beauty products, soaps).
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases.
  • Sale items and gift cards.

If you have questions about the return eligibility of a specific product, contact us before purchasing.


5. Exchanges

We do not process direct exchanges. Instead:

  1. Return the item following the steps in Section 2.
  2. Once the return is approved and processed, you will receive an e-gift card for the item’s value.
  3. Use the e-gift card to place a new order for the desired product.

This process ensures you receive your replacement item quickly and efficiently.


6. Refunds

After receiving and inspecting the returned item, refunds will be processed as follows:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
  • The refund amount will be for the item’s purchase value (minus any applicable fees).

Additional Refund Terms:

  • Refunds will not be issued for orders shipped to inaccurate or incomplete addresses provided at checkout.
  • For undelivered items returned to us due to shipping issues, a refund or reshipment may be offered based on the situation.
  • Missing packages marked as "delivered" by the carrier are the customer’s responsibility to resolve with the carrier.

7. Return Instructions

When returning an item, please include:

  • The item(s) in original condition and packaging.
  • A note detailing the reason for the return or the correction needed.
